Nos histoires

  • Under the UNDP’s Programme protection de l’environnement et du volet de lutte contre le changement climatique, the purpose of this project is to take action for the preservation of the environment. This includes projects related to biodiversity and the fight against the effects of global warming, water pollution, the decline and degradation of land, and the reduction of the ozone layer.

  • With the help of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), these farmers are trained to use harnessed cows “to ease the working load of women from Masisi” according to Christian. Each association has been given two bulls; the trainers from the National Animal Traction Service teach them to take care of the animals, but also to guide them properly so the harness works.

  • Resilient seeds to strengthen the resilience of communities

The NAPA-ASA project, in association with INERA, is therefore aiming for sustainable long-term human development by attempting to revitalise agricultural research through the provision of animal gametes, fish larvae and plant seeds which are healthy and resistant to disease and insects and adapt to the climate.

  • The UNDP created a team made up of 4 facilitators, in charge of desensitizing the FARDC to fight against human rights violations, to respect international human law, to fight against sexual violence and to protect children.

  • Here and across the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo where it intervenes, UNDP assists in every step of the entire legal process all the way through to the trial. It supports civil and military courts in their efforts to gather evidence, speak with victims and prepare case files.
